Mother's Support Group

Friday, September 27
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Stake Center Cultural Hall 2C

This group for mothers—whether expecting, new, or seasoned—offers a supportive and safe space to explore the myriad joys and challenges that come with motherhood. Recognizing that each stage of motherhood presents its own unique experiences, the group fosters an environment where women can openly share their feelings, triumphs, and struggles.

One of the key focuses of this group is addressing mental health issues that may arise during and after pregnancy. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their emotional well-being and seek guidance from both peers and facilitators who understand the complexities of motherhood. By sharing personal stories and experiences, mothers can gain insight into their own feelings, as well as learn from others who have faced similar challenges.

In addition to mental health support, the group encourages discussions around practical topics, such as balancing responsibilities, finding time for self-care, and building a support network. These conversations can help mothers feel less isolated and more connected to others who are navigating similar paths.

The group also aims to celebrate the joys of motherhood, creating a space to share milestones, accomplishments, and positive experiences. This dual focus on both challenges and joys allows for a holistic approach to motherhood, recognizing that both aspects are integral to the journey.

By participating in this group, mothers will not only gain valuable insights and coping strategies but also foster lasting friendships with other women who understand the nuances of motherhood. Ultimately, this supportive community aims to empower mothers to embrace their unique journeys, prioritize their mental health, and thrive in their roles as caregivers.
