She holds a Master of Music from Brigham Young University in Provo and a Bachelor of Music from Southern Utah University. An experienced educator, Perkins has taught individual voice lessons and class voice as an adjunct professor at BYU and as an associate instructor at the Jacobs School. As a performer, Perkins has appeared in operatic roles such as Hänsel in "Hänsel und Gretel," Dido in "Dido and Aeneas," and Dame Quickly in "Falstaff."
