"Battle of the Sexes" Studio Orchestra Concert

Tuesday, November 21
7:30 PM - 11:00 PM
David O. McKay Auditorium

The BYU–Hawaii Studio Orchestra proudly presents "Battle of the Sexes." Get a ringside seat to an evening of sizzling romance and lovers' quarrels! With repertoire plucked from the golden age of jazz and Hollywood studios during the 1940s and 1960s, you'll be constantly entertained by wildly fun songs about love in all of its messy, maddening, aggravating, bewildering, mysterious, and beautiful glory. The Studio Orchestra is a jazz-based full 40-piece orchestra featuring jazz singers and choreography. The music for this show was recovered and restored primarily from the personal manuscript archives of Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole. Directed by Dr. Daniel Henderson. Free admission, all ages admitted. Doors open at 7 pm. Arrive early. A full house is expected.
