If you feel like you need a refresher on some important Canvas basics and how they will help you teach online, then this is the workshop for you. We will cover importing course content, creating quizzes, assignments and discussion boards, and describing how each feature could be useful in your course. Using the Canvas grade book, embedding picture files, and settings will also be covered to help you set up for fall. This workshop will be on Wednesday, August 5 from 9-9:30 am via Zoom.

Fall 2020 Online Teaching Preparation Workshop Series
Do you need some new ideas for teaching online in the fall? We are here to help! BYUH’s Edward D. Smith Center for Learning & Teaching will be hosting 25 different hands-on workshops throughout August to help teachers prepare for fall classes online. Workshops will be 30 minutes with the option to have an additional individual consultation session if you would like specific ideas for your course. Each workshop will be conducted over Zoom and start with a brief rationale and link to the BYUH Learning Framework, followed by a demonstration and sample assignments, and finally a question and answer session. There will be plenty of opportunity for interaction with the facilitator and other participants. Come ready to work on your Canvas course!
