BYU–Hawaii’s Edward D. Smith Center for Learning & Teaching is ready to help you prepare for fall online classes with workshops full of ideas and free books to give away. On Tuesday, August 4 and 5 from 10 am to 1 pm, wear your mask, get out of the house, and come stop by the CLT (near the main library entrance). While you are there, sign up for any of the 25 different workshops we are offering over Zoom from August 5-25. These are 30-minute, small-group, workshops that are highly focused and interactive.
Next, pick up a free copy of “Excellent Online Teaching: Effective Strategies for a Successful Semester Online,” a short book packed with teaching strategies to quickly get your courses up and running. Then, help yourself to the CLT’s famous pupus to get you started on a terrific fall semester. If you have questions or prefer to sign up via email, please contact Aurie Sorensen (firstname.lastname@example.org).
