Information Technology Infrastructure and the CES Network team will be working together to upgrade major network core equipment early in the morning.
On Saturday, February 27 between 4 am and noon, the main internet connection to and from off campus will be replaced. This outage will take longer and have a major impact on university services both on campus as well as in the cloud. It will impact:
- BYUH website (from off-campus).
- BYUH login to resources (Box, Canvas, email/OneDrive, Workday, Zoom, etc.).
- VPN access.
IT Infrastructure understands that any network or internet interruption is an inconvenience. We have tried to minimize the length of the outages as well as schedule them during off-hours. The successful completion of the above work will bring BYU–Hawaii’s network in line with the new CES network standard. IT Infrastructure appreciates your patience as we work to improve our services.
Should you experience problems with connecting to the network or sites off-campus, please call our Information Technology Operations at (808) 675-3211, enter a ticket on the IT website, or send an email.
